This is the best highlighter tool I have found to date. I have tried various similar tools, but none of them are currently in use since I discovered Glasp - a fantastic and efficient highlighter. It organizes your marks clearly and allows you to export them in multiple formats. Plus, it's free! Many thanks to the wonderful developers.
I used to get AI Summary in paragraph form, but, now in points form, can anyone please let me know how to correct it back.
Tries to do too many things but not one thing another single extension doesn't do better. Trying to do everything makes the app slow. It doesn't use the native sidebar of your browser like other extensions do but instead has an overlay on the right side of your current site which makes the annotations experience not as good as it should be. Rather disappointed after reading their marketing selling points which sounds amazing but then I tried use the app itself. The app promotes itself as useful for students and researchers. Those two groups use PDFs heavily. Even in this extension's page selling point they mention PDFs 3 times in a bullet list of features. But not once do they mention that they explicitly disable support for pdfs unless hosted by some 3rd party website. Local machine pdfs are what students and researchers use but when you open a local pdf in chrome but cannot annotate and share those annotations then it makes using this extension with pdfs pointless. To upload a pdf to a 3rd party site in order to annotate it makes no sense and has copyright implications. That is extra steps we don't have time for as annotation extensions purpose is to save time The social aspect looks interesting and on the outset it look like they could improve on goodreads by being able to see people's annotations and make the social group learning aspect so much more interesting. But again local pdfs are explicitly disabled by the extension. Instead annotations are on amazon links which is an additional step to open and existing shared annotations by others on amazon links are poor. Its like the app will end up to be a slow Pocket with annotations. The social aspect would have been a game changer. However the quality of the sharing is poor because its focus group is not students , researchers or book readers, despite claiming it is. I would as a result prefer not have any social sharing as it is just poor quality noise. I view this is more a shopping annotation and article app but issue is with those things links can become outdated and forgotten.
seem it doesn't work for me i keep getting sent to another page with noting change.
Truly amazing. The best part is that it does not try to reinvent wheels and focus on its core functionalities. It tries to integrates to mainstream apps as much as possible and that's a big plus. For me, Youtube transcript highlighting and copy was a key selling point. I can copy the highlighted content to Notion so easily and I love it. I'm very excited with its AI features and it's really great that it's working with Claude because they are for non-profit (for now).
Can you create an option for users to add their preferred color labels.
amazing tool, really helpful great thanks to glasp creators...you guys are awesome...!
I found another extension that does the same thing and doesn't require registration, so I don't recommend it.
The idea and the extension is good but it has too many glitches and issues. Sometimes some or all the highlights with their notes are gone and those are gone forever. I can't get those back. So, I need to put all the hard work and effort again. So, I am feeling worried to use this extension anymore. The sidebar with notes appear over the websites. So, most of the cases a huge part of the text is hidden. That is why someone needs to close and reopen the sidebar for several times and this is really irritating. The sidebar should push the website and should not appear over the website. When I hover over a highlighted text, why I can't see the notes associated with it? This is a very useful feature to have. The mobile app has no search option for websites. So, if someone has used this tool in too many websites then it is almost impossible to find a specific website in the mobile app. So, please fix these issues. I think this app has a better future.

Such a great idea, great tool, great for organizing, great for sharing with friends, categorizing stuff, etc.. and the guy who made it, his story about why he made it is quite incredible. (near death experience, wanted to leave something valuable and awesome in the world [please correct me if not said well]). I love the extension and use it regularly. Thanks Glasp ❤︎
Fantastic. Best and easiest to use and most reliable highlighter. Lots of cool features makes it very useful.
works great except on the site i really need it on jw.org. wrote in about the issue few months ago. still not fixed.
I use Glasp often for highlighting, it fits easily into my workflow, it creates a nice way to consolidate information from a website through highlighting and adding annotations
Super useful and 5 stars for ease of use too. having this to highlight all things on the web and YT is just what any conscientious reader on the internet needs
It is so useful. Glasp enables you to highlight any part of the articles and write some notes. You can check all of your notes and highlights whenever you want. It also serves you YouTube Summary, which summarizes the whole content of a YouTube video in a blink. I recommend that you use this product. You will like it.
